Of course if they use something from another house it could transfer germs

Yes. Everyone else is in denial or it's an acceptable risk

Everyone has their reasons for concern.

Try to get on the schedule for first thing in the morning... if you're really paranoid be first thing on Mondays. Use your own cleaning cloths and definitely toilet bowl brushes. Vacuums it's difficult to really request this (I've found) because good cleaning crews tend to have special professional grade vacuums -- back-pack style ones for example -- that I would never have on hand. You can always ask how they clean the vacuums between houses. Obviously be on hand when the crew is there to make sure no one with obvious symptoms of illness is working in your home.

bs OP doesn't have anxiety because if she did she would NEVER, EVER use a cleaning service. Asking if they cross contaminate houses? They will use a rag on your toilet then polish your fridge door or counter tops with it.

I worked for a maid company in college and I saw this first hand.

This is disgusting and not representative of the cleaning services we’ve used.

The bring their own stuff but they have plenty of clean rags, which go into a dirty rag bag when they’re done with them.

Is this a thing?

Yes, I’m very well aware I’m an anxious person before anybody spends time pointing that out lol.

Of course. In fact, the GOP is investigating and they now believe that housecleaners were the original source of COVID!

We have our own cloths that our cleaning person uses. When she's done, she leaves the rags in a laundry bag in the laundry room, then I wash and dry them for the next time.

It's theoretically possible, but very, very unlikely. As others have said, this is about you having anxiety, not about your cleaning person's rags.

My housecleaning crew uses new rags for each house. They use our vacuum. You could substitute your own vacuum and supply rags and sponges and then wash them yourself.and bring out each week.
