We had to buy the name brand out of pocket. It is typically $400-ish but if you use the Good Rx coupon (https://www.goodrx.com/) it is about $80. More painful than the $10 for generic, but going without is not an option.

I’m not a political person but I’m at the end of my rope. DD has been forced to take ineffective meds due to the greed of insurance companies and has also been affected by shortages. It is very stressful worrying about this constantly. DD is a young adult and needs medicine not only to function in class but to drive and safely cook. And when she’s off her meds, she makes impulsive decisions that put her at risk for all sorts of horrible consequences. I feel like this is only acceptable because of the stigma of ADHD/mental health. When there’s an issue with cancer drugs, insulin, etc, people care.
There's actually a very serious shortage of cancer drugs, especially generics.
