I lived in the Seattle area briefly and Loyola Marymount students/alums from the area were all super attractive and well off

Scripps seems awesome! My kid is applying there RD, and I've been pretty impressed. She's only lukewarm on Smith (another great school) because of the no-guys thing. But, because of the consortium, Scripps seems to offer the best of all worlds. The campus and food is supposed to be top-notch too.


My kid applied to only one women’s college, and it was Scripps, precisely bc of the “best of all worlds” thing. Loved the campus.

I grew up close to Santa Clara. My friends who went there liked it. I could be totally wrong, but I've never gotten the sense that there's a ton of school spirit or that it's an exceptionally tight community. I'm in LA, and a mom of two DDs who are in college now. With my first, I discovered Scripps and the short story is, it's fabulous. My first DD ED'd somewhere else and got in, and my other DD was not a fit (she went into the military). I am helping my niece apply to colleges now and also a friend of mine, and I'm hoping someone will end up there!

Scripps is nice because it’s all women but the 5 colleges are pretty integrated with cross registration for courses, and shared athletic teams and cross campus social events. Beautiful campus too.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight into a few of the California private colleges/universities? Specifically SCU, LMU, USD, Scripps, and Oxy. DC is considering all of them. I am in a different state and don't know too much about them. Looking for information from people with personal experience - I have read information on websites and Fiske/Princeton Review. Thanks!
