I met Warren Buffet once. Down to Earth guy.

Three, one self made and two family money. All of them were very low key and the two with family money worked regular salaried jobs and basically had normal lives as working parents (albeit clearly well off ones).

A few. Main pattern is that they are guarded and well-practiced at security and keeping safely away from the masses. The Hollywood idea that a regular person strikes up a chance, meaningful conversation with a billionaire is not realistic. They are busy and not always identifiable by sight. They have personal troubles like anyone else.

I dated one. It was family money. He was pretty much just like everyone else, except when we traveled it was by private jet -- it wasn't just his, it was the jet of the family business (which was just managing and investing their money, pretty much), and we mainly used it because he traveled with his pet and, rightfully, wouldn't put the pet in cargo on a commercial flight. His house was nice, but you wouldn't walk into it and think billionaire or even millionaire. He had a professional degree, and worked as one. You wouldn't guess he was that rich at all. You could see the money with his mother -- she wore Chanel pretty much at all times and had a monthly appointment at a trusted family jeweler.

He gave me nice gifts, but not outrageously expensive ones -- sapphire earrings for my birthday, a cashmere sweater, a piece of art for a milestone event.

He was very sweet and smart and a lot of fun. A good person. I loved him a lot. Would have loved him just as much if he'd had no money. Still think the world of him. In the end, I couldn't deal with him -- he was constantly doing a back and forth between me and his ex. And she was crazy and obsessed with me. No thanks. Had to move on.

I think most people when they express concerns about billionaires amassing wealth aren’t objecting to the level of manners of billionaires and their families

I have had 2 as clients and I wouldn't have known unless I googled them (both Middle East oil family heirs)

Several in college, but all from inheritance
