This is gods though I’d probably skip soup at an open house. Too messy.

I mean, you can call it a “bar,” but it’s just soup and bread, and that’s OK. But people need a table and a place to eat soup. It’s not a stand and chat kind of food.

Chili (so you can actually have toppings)
Minestrone or some type of light vegetable soup
Broccoli cheddar or another creamy soup, maybe a creamy chicken tortellini soup?

A drop in gathering where people will have to stand around balancing a bowl of soup? That certainly is an interesting choice. I think a soup bar sounds fun for a family event where you’re sitting down but to drop in and mingle and gather with soup seems awkward and can you imagine all the slurping lol?

Chili
Chicken and wild rice
Broccoli cheddar

Chili is good because some people (like my dh) don't feel like regular soup fills them up, but chili does.

This is a nice combo.

Oyster crackers and savory granola for toppings.

Why not just do chili as one that needs toppings. Otherwise many soups don’t need toppings added after the fact.

Toppings for soup? Like cheese for chili? Can't think of other toppings..

We’re having a drop-in gathering with a soup bar, and I want to have 3 soups with toppings and assorted breads. What are three good options - 1 veg, 1 meat, and at least 1 creamy. (Alternately could it be 3 veggie soups?)

I realize there’s the great soup thread on here but I’ specifically asking for a combination of 3 where everyone can find something they like).
