We stayed here and it was amazing. There is a private chef form your group who prepares breakfast and dinner. They also act as a concierge and book activities for you. It was really fantastic.

we used airbnb to book in CR and it worked well.
Do you want beach or more inland/volcano? Do you want to chill at the villa or do lots of activities? Do you want just one location or to go to a few places?

Tulemar in Manuel Antonio also has villa options. We loved it there when we went last year for spring break. It has a private beach, sloth sanctuary, and lots of monkeys.

Try the Stay in Costa Rica website. They have multiple condo options in the Los Sueños resort. I’m a travel agent and it’s my go to place for clients there. Happy to answer questions maye@me.com

fyi here is where we stayed, but there are a lot of great places nearby. this one definitely requires a 4wd and a bit of courage.

I have rented both air bnb and vrbo without issues in costa rica. I can recommend an amazing one in coronado, about 1.5 hours south of manuel antonio. There are lots of luxury villa rentals, target the area between dominical and ojochal. I am sure there are agencies if you dont want to go through air bnb but that's probably the easiest way to search. I would think if you can find a place that has tons of good reviews you should be okay.

Also, would be amazing if it has a private pool!

Trying to find somewhere for a group of friends to stay together in Costa Rica this summer. I’m not very familiar with CR so not sure what area to target (or if we have a strong preference) but all I keep finding are 2BR options and would like a recommendation for a 3BR setup that isn’t Airbnb and isn’t insanely expensive (so no Four Seasons!). Any ideas?
