You all sound like a bunch of petty, jealous and out of touch old ladies. It’s a friggin 1 BR CONDO in the downtown. It’s not one of your boring colonials in Upper Caucasia where nothing is going on. 635 square feet is a decent size for a 1 BR, especially one with an open floor plan, and that condo fees covers quite a bit not to mention a parking space.

We had a 640 sf condo in Logan that we sold several years ago for 500k. It was the same size as this unit, and was big enough to have a den and a bedroom and was plenty spacious.

This is not a bad deal at all. You’re all clueless.

At least downtown DC still has shopping. Not as robust as Philadelphia, Boston, Portland or other similarly sized cities, but for a world-class city, DC still has quality shopping, even if it’s mostly for wealthy tourists. Since it’s privately managed, it’s an attractive place to walk around and grab a bite, while the surrounding area deteriorates. Is the flagship Macy’s around the corner any good?

Most of the retail there is performative.

I assumed the pricing was originally propped up by the Qataris or something. That development never made sense without some sort of political and/or corruption angle.

^^i thought the same, but CityCenter condos have proven to be unable to appreciate in value, and some have even sold at a loss. That factor plus high condo fees is why it is at this price.

Wide angle lens... there's literally only space for a TV stand between the kitchen and balcony.

No, because these places were built as pied a terres for wealthy folks who have primary homes elsewhere.

I remember when these places first sold back then for over $1K per square foot and people were shocked. That's NYC pricing!

Turns out they were stupidly overpriced. And now the city has letting the surrounding neighborhood go to sh#t.

Zero appreciation in almost ten years. $1K condo fee. Haha.

Yes, you too can live in a closet in a dumpy, ugly neighborhood. Thanks, realtor.

Protected, secluded, and right on top of the Louboutin store (which should be the top priority)
