were you moved to PWCS? That happened to us for the November open. The nice thing about PWCS is that it is a nice pool, with plenty of parking.

PWCS is a great pool. Plenty of seating and parking and it is not oppressively hot in there. They also have a livestream of the meets that happen there on their YouTube channel, PWCS Aquatics Center.

Yes, PWCS. Agree it is a much better pool but Audrey Moore is a 4 min drive and PWCS is an hour. Two kids swimming in different sessions, so it causes a lot of schedule adjustments to make it work and a lot of driving time.

I hear you- this was my November open dilemma when we got moved to PWCS. I ended up volunteering at both sessions, and getting rides for the kids- so like for the first session I offered to take a child to warmups along with mine, and then that parent came later to watch the events and took both kids home. And for the child swimming later I got someone else to drive them to the pool, and then I brought both kids home. But yes, it does take more arranging.

NP, and we also got moved to PWCS. For us it’s only a difference of 15 minutes (30 minutes to Audrey Moore v. 45 to PWCS). Our site head coach did mention in the notification that he considers this good for the swimmers as it’s a better pool overall, so I’m not going to complain.

I feel like the January Open tends to be pretty big. That was my recollection from last year.

Be thankful that PVS is a very small LSC geographically. Imagine being in Missouri Valley instead.

Three sites. Same as last year.

I am guessing the delay had to do with the trouble to find teams to host.

Given how hard it is to find sites to host, I doubt it will expand. Teams can be moved to different locations even after the announcement comes out in order to balance the sites so no guarantees.

I know the meet announcement is not posted, but will they more sites? If your club was at a site last year, do you just assume that they will be at the same site?
