No, except an emergency. I don’t believe it’s allowed. Ask other families to carpool with you doing drop off and them doing pick up.

Just double checking on "until they were in the car." Would it be just one kid alone? And on a regular basis?
I didn't know it existed but I'd consider it occasionally. For a regular thing would prefer them being with another kid. Could you reach out to the teacher about potential carpools? If you're planning to pay, perhaps you could send out a note offering to pay another parent.

I'm not a single parent, but my husband was active duty military and often deployed, so I would be the only parent available for months straight. When I ran into these situations my younger kids just had to go to bed a little later.
There's no way I'd have my 13 year old riding with a random stranger super late at night.
Unfortunately we each live about half an hour in opposite directions.

I wasn’t aware that it existed, but yes, if 13 year olds are allowed to use it per policy and the kid is comfortable with it then I don’t see why not as long as they will be supervised until they’re in the car. Nothing bad is going to happen once they’re in the car.

Sorry, you need to delay bed time and pick the kid up. Husband travels a lot and often gone and I have to keep the younger kids up to pick up the oldest after late sport practices. They are bathed and in their pajamas and ready to go to bed as soon as we get back. For a one off this is a no brainer.

Why can’t the friend’s parent take them home? Or just pick them up. How old are your other kids is you have a 13 yr old and how late can they possibly be staying out?

Maybe the friend's parent would be willing to drive your kid home in exchange for money, or rides at a different time.
I'm not a single parent, but my husband was active duty military and often deployed, so I would be the only parent available for months straight. When I ran into these situations my younger kids just had to go to bed a little later.

My 13 year old really wants to do an activity with a friend. I am a single parent and my younger kids are in bed by the time we would pick up.
Would you be comfortable with Uber teen as a way to get them home?
Friend’s parent would stay until they were in the car, so no issues of safety while waiting for the Uber.
