Well, there are many students who graduate from FCPS base high schools who not only complete AP Calc BC but take Multivariable/linear and other advanced math courses by senior year. I would assume that to be the case at other public high schools across the nation. So your applicant would be competing with many of those students for a T25 spot depending on their interested major.
At TJ, Calc BC is prereq/coreq for many math, physics, computer science, and research courses. Without Calc BC, they would be missing out on enrolling in any of those courses. College admissions expect to see students taking the most challenging courses accessible to them at their high school.
