This is also what our school does. It's from AART pull-outs and every kid they have to make a packet for does them. Our AART specifically said once they know they are making a packet for a kid, they do their best with work samples to "make your kid look good." They won't use a basic work sheet for one kid and a piece that gives another kid the chance to show complex thinking. That said, I doubt they play to your individual kids' strength as well as a sample from home does.
