That's great! And not every kid with special needs can do what your kid did, but they can still do great things and be happy and have proud parents!

Congratulations!!! You should be proud and your son should be proud too. As the mom of a very bright child with SNs who is 10, I am saving your post for inspiration. Thank you for sharing.

Congratulations

I had to kids with learning disabilities, and I understand how incredibly challenging the road is.

You might want to ask the moderator to move this to the special needs for him. You’re probably gonna get a lot of hate from the general population.

My 21 years old son officially completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UVA yesterday, and he finishes one semester early. We're so proud as his parents. He was in Special Ed classes from K until 10th grade. He didn't excel until 11th grade when he scored 1580 on the SAT, 36 on ACT and was accepted to UVA. He wanted to prove to himself that he had what it takes to graduate early so he took summer classes to achieve that goal. He will be working for Apple in two months after taking time off to travel with his GF. He will attempt the GMAT exam in a few months. This proves that it is possible for a SN child to succeed if he/she works hard at it.
