Yes - they’re a very popular brand for the younger lesbians. lol. I’m an older one but believe me, they’re very common.

lol I live in Seattle and everyone wears them, men and women.

Seattle here too and this made me laugh! I feel bad for lesbians visiting from other cities because Blundstones here signal nothing except “I live in Seattle and have feet”.

I mean, things can be popular with both lesbians and the general population. Blundstones certainly didn’t catapult to worldwide popularity on the strength of lesbians alone.

Can you try Blundstones on anywhere in person?

I have worn both in the past and neither now.

But, Docs have more traction. They are also much heavier. And more cool if style is a priority. I never found them as comfortable as Blundstones.

Blundstones are nice because you can pull them on and off and they are comfortable and lightweight. You can run in Blundstones if you needed, not so much as Docs because they're so clunky. Blundstones are more understated, people might not even notice you're wearing them. They are easier to travel in because they are lighter.

If style is more important then Docs. If comfort and practicality are key then Blundstones imo.

I have both and wear for different purposes. I'm a horse person and have had my Blunnies for years--they're my barn boots, for hiking, to the farmers market, on weekends. They're super comfortable and warm (easy to layer w/ wool socks in the winter). I also love my docs--daily wear, in the city, to work, etc.

Blundstones are lighter than Docs and easier to get on/off (assuming you’re talking about traditional lace-up Docs).

Otherwise agree with PP that it’s an aesthetic choice.

What style or aesthetic do you want to project? Docs are more urban downtown. Blundstones more country outdoor classic. Understanding that Brooklyn hipsters seem to have made a cultural appropriation here.

For those who have had both, which do you prefer if you were to only have one? The Blundstones are comfortable right out of the box, the Docs not so much, but everyone says you just need time to break them in. The Docs are probably a bit more stylish looking/versatile. Can't really tell which would have better traction (the Docs are the "winter grip" version FWIW). Help me decide!
