This is all marketing. If the notion of these camps being associated with a favorite team will get your child to attend then maybe it’s worth it.
We have done two now. The actual association with the team it’s coaches or training methods are lose or vague at best. This is an affiliate model, Kaptiva has run both camps we attended and it seems as though they really try to stay behind-the-scenes. We did get “selected” To go to Spain and we did go. I’m assuming they select a ton of kids, knowing that only a very few will actually pay to go. I doubt it has much to do with actual abilities. Again in Spain, Kaptiva was the host And they did a good job. The experience was great And my Son did get to actually train at the Real Madrid campus. I do think the level of coaching and training was at a higher level. When you’re at the campus, I do feel like you’re getting a certain quality of Coach. The second daily session is clearly through Kaptiva, not the affiliated team.
…for the most part when you’re doing these things in North America at your local Soccer Field, you’re getting coaches recruited locally with maybe some brief training.
In summary if you’re affiliated with a strong local team where your kids know the other players. I would spend your money there and support the Local team and organizations. I think with these affiliated events, you just paying 200 extra dollars to get the team kit.

There are two camps.

The one at RFK (was also at RFK last year) had a November and June London experience. Ironically, a lot of the coaches at the November experience were at the Visitation/Episcopal camp. The London piece was through Kaptiva. Well run, training at Hale End, etc.

The one at Visitation (Episcopal this summer) had an Easter experience. Their experience came together more last minute (despite a lot of parent follow up - there wasn’t an experience scheduled until early 2024) originally targeted at older ages and eventually opened to a few 9 year olds. Run by Fuse in the UK. Also well run, more scrimmage based and less training at the actual academy - but more soccer games abroad.

The actual training at the RFK camp was better than the Visitation/Episcopal camp — more structured and intense — but the heat and lack of indoor space kind of sucked.

Looks like the camp will be held at RFK fields this summer.

No I haven't heard anything. It looks good and we considered it but decided to hold off another year. I did email the director and it's for kids 11-13 and is for all levels. It does look well organized and I like that it's at a school. I hope anyone who does it shares feedback as it's $$$

Where was the camp held in 2023? It is listed as TBD for 2024.

The Arsenal summer camp was well run, with good coaches. Better quality experience than Real Madrid and DC United camp according to my son.

Would you be able to share your experience with the summer camp? I’m thinking of signing my child up this summer but not sure what to expect.

Does anyone have experience with the Arsenal experience tour camp? My son was invited to the spring tour due to his participation in the camp over the summer. No expectations on academy recruitment or development here; it just seems like a fun experience. He was impressed with the camp last summer. Thanks.
