+1000 to every one of these posts.

Plus private school is less stabby and less rapey. What did every happen to that kid who got stabbed in the face at dismissal?

Sadly, it’s telling that nobody knows anything. As the other poster said, ACPS is currently focusing on crappy new logos (to community backlash again after the first round effort fell flat). This is the most tone-deaf system. Run far away if you can!

You’re expecting them to have community information sessions? You *really* need to do your homework on ACPS before deciding to leave private school! Their ability to make a plan and communicate it is abysmal. They keep trying to change the window dressing but the foundational structure is cracked and in disrepair. Buyer beware!

We are in a private and thinking about a ACHS for their STEM program for our child who loves math and science. I know that they are redoing the curriculum and that there are tracks/programs of study and that they will be utilizing the building. I assume students will be able to take other courses that are offered in other programs of study/with other students – – like art and languages, etc. Does anyone know how it is going to work as far as where students will be placed and if there will be busing back-and-forth between the current and new building? I assume they will be up some upcoming information sessions, etc. for the community—I only saw online for current students.
