“French toast casserole” is the sweet version of a strata. I’ve had one good French toast casserole (at a b&b) but many bad ones.
This year I plan to make a bundtcake with dream cheese icing. Maybe an apple spice cake, or something with chopped fruit. Cake for breakfast is a little indulgent, but it’s Christmas! (And cake probably has less sugar than those French toast casseroles, lol)
I just made Martha Stewart's apple cider donut bundt cake and it was delicious. It would be a good cake for breakfast cake.

This year I'm not sure b/c inlaws are on a new heart healthy diet.
She asked for make ahead suggestion and you say crepes. Amazing
I keep seeing an everything bagel egg casserole in my instagram feeds that I’m going to try. Search for that or the egg casserole with the trader joe hash brown as the base layer. That’s a great one
