Because there are people like me who put four holds on a book and then release three of them when the first comes up or when a hold on a physical copy comes up at my branch. The hold estimates aren't always accurate because of us book worms.

This is what I've done too. It's not at all intuitive and it's quite frustrating.

I have 1-4 holds on every book.

Thank you! After you promoted me to keep looking, I found you can also access other libraries by clicking the tiny card icon next to a title. What a design mess! TY for the help.

It seems that Libby is now only allowing users to put a title on hold at only one library. For instance, when I try to put a hold on “The Fraud” at DC Library, I am promoted to place the hold through Arlington bc the wait is shorter there. I cannot find an option to reserve at both DC and Arlington, as I used to.

Is there a way around this? Libby has so many maddening quirks!
