You’re not wrong for seeking this I just don’t think you’ll have any luck. I’m an attractive divorced 39yo with two kids making $350k. Since I don’t need money and don’t want more kids, and all my emotional support needs are met by girlfriends/family, I have no reason at all to introduce male nonsense into my life. I might consider it if there was a huge upside for me, as in he makes $2M+. Otherwise I’m perfectly content to remain single forever. I love having my own space and doing literally whatever I want at all times when the kids are with their dad. Why in the world would I give that up for someone who can’t even afford the same lifestyle as me, much less treat me to a nicer one?

It's never been socially acceptable for any gender to openly declare they are after a wealthy partner. Even in past centuries, it was couched in different ways.

An anonymous discussion board on the internet is NOT equivalent to a public announcement in real life, and if you're around people who do that, then you are not part of polite society and your views are fringe.

Would you be open to a non-working woman with wealth? The dynamic is not the same between high-income/average assets, and low or no-income/high assets.

If you have friends in high paying jobs, ask them to set you up. If that's what your heart is set on, it shouldn't be hard at all. I can think of a few women your age that make low seven figures but also are single parents. You need to bring a lot of initiative to the table, be ready to make all the plans, solve her non-work problems and make yourself a vital part of a happily functioning and easy life.

Compared to say 20 years ago you will certainly find more relationships like the one you are seeking.

However I think women are far less likely to be with someone who make significantly less than they do.

But I think in the legal field there is probably a good share of childless women too busy to be bothered to be tied down. Those women though I am not sure you want to be anywhere near them….

OP I don’t know. My experience is that when the pay gap is huge it *could* create conflicts.

I make 110k and DW 380k. I don’t know if it’s the stress of her job or the fact that her job title got over head or just a *boss lady* mania our marriage is a disaster and we are heading for divorce. I’ll spare folks the details of our issues but I’ll just say that big pay gap can create unhealthy dynamics at home. And it goes both ways. Women married to men that make significantly more are similarly in challenging marriages.
