Totally agree. The key, OP, is to ignore the guilt trips you may get from other parents or teachers for the stuff you can't go to. That's what happened to me when I changed jobs and DH and I started more evenly splitting school stuff. You have to steel yourself against it. Their reasons for doing it have nothing to do with you. You are doing a good thing for your family and your child is well supported.
