The Montreal one looks amazing. Not offered in 2026 😭 please share more French language programs for any age!

Re: Tekakwitha -- Younger kids go for 2 weeks. DD and her friends did not attend until 10 or so. With that said, my perception is that the younger children largely had some connection to the camp, namely their parents previously attended camp. Hope this is helpful information.

Both my kids went to St Anne's in Canada for the summer program. It is not expensive, all-inclusive (except for flights). I think it cost around $2K per kid for the 5 weeks including tuition, accommodation, all meals

It looks like they recently dropped the age range from 16+ to 12+

Camp is in Maine but operated by Canadians, 60-70% percent of the campers are Canadian, mostly from Montreal and Quebec. Remaining campers are mostly from cities in the U.S. Flights from WAS to Portland, Maine and shuttle service to/from airport if you want/need it.

This is not a fancy camp but if your teen speaks at an intermediate or above level of french and likes to hike (14-16 years go camping and hiking on Appalachian trail from 7-16 days) this might be an option worth considering.

It says they take kids as young as 7. Is it normal to send your 7-year-old to sleep-away camp? I didn't grow up in a socioeconomic group associated with summer camps, so I'm genuinely curious.

Bumping this thread again: does anyone know of any French language programs for middle school students in the US or Canada? I'm aware of the Concordia Villages/ Bemidji programs but wanted to see if there are other options. Are there any colleges or boarding schools with programs for young teens? Are there any day camps in the DMV? I see that Rochambeau has bilingual day camps, but my child is too old.

Lac du Bois -- sleepaway French immersion camp in Bemidji, Minnesota. They eat French food, speak French, setting is gorgeous -- highly recommend!!
