Subject: Trading Places movie what age?
When you think about it, it's amazing how frank and explicit even "family" movies could be back in the 1980s. Much more so than today.

Was just talking about this the other day, we have boys 13 and 10. It’s one of my favorite throwback movies but, yeah, I dunno just can’t get past the breasts/sex.
Oddly I have no problem with them watching pretty severe violence in action movies—Bourne, Die Hard, Mission Impossible type stuff. Objectively that seems worse, but doesn’t bother me at all. Chalk it up to Catholic guilt I guess.

The comment wasn’t about the kid having never seen it before. The comment was about being embarrassed.
