It's funny how many of these actors are British, but I actually think that's more likely a reflection of the fact that many of them are classically trained (and therefore received vocal training) than just the accent.
Ok it's a little the accent. But even that is vocal training! British actors are often better at speaking with their natural accents than people who haven't trained to deliver Shakespeare monologues on stage.

I have a naturally higher voice that I have to work to lower and I really envy people with naturally low, sonorous voices (obviously also a lot of actors do vocal coaching to improve the sound of their voices -- I have always wanted to do this but it feels non-essential).
