If you are doing soup and bread, would add a hearty charcuterie plate to snack on and share. Charcuterie plates are great to converse around!

Really good Soup, bread, and put out a salami and cheese board. Grapes, olives, crackers. Done.

Or chili with toppings bar.

Or nachos with choice of toppings.

Are any vegetarian. i would do more than soup.

I think soup in the crackpot and some good custy bread/rolls would be fabulous. If you wanted to add more I would get a small spiral ham and have a veggie plate. This gives even picky eaters enough options and also provides a very hearty meal without to much trouble.

Old friends will be coming by this Sunday for the day. They’ll be here through lunch. Ideas for what I can make or have available? I don’t want anything formal but do want to make sure they are well fed.
