Lol what? We hosted a holiday brunch last weekend for one social circle and are holding a big holiday party this weekend for another. Buying lots of holiday type things. Weird to assume others aren't doing the same.

Sure, but I also think those fresh turkeys spent too long in a normal refrigerator before Thanksgiving.

How do you know they’re buying it for their holiday meal? We tend to splurge at this time of the year and we usually have constant houseguests so we buy larger quantities and fancier cuts than we normally would.

I get cookies/candy, alcohol, pine greenery/ poinsettias, etc. but I noticed at Thanksgiving and see it now- people buying what looks like perishable contents of their holiday meal weeks in advance. Am I wrong and the increased crowds in markets are just buying candy for stocking stuffers and wine? I think I might have an exaggerated tendency to err on the food safety side of caution, but there seem to be a lot of relaxed folks buying pies and large cuts of meat.
