If we keep human race's future generations in mind, short men should marry tall women and tall men should marry short women. Average height people are free to marry anyone they want.

Is a tall, thin woman going to be considered by most people more striking and attractive than a comparable short, thin woman? Yes.

Not all men loves short women, its not a unanimous and monolithic preference.

I’m 5’11 and DW is 5’0. I personally prefer shorter women. If I were 6’9 I would probably not find 5’0 very attractive. So I guess we frame everything based on our own height. Society has stupid standards though. When women are tall sometimes they are fetishized with nicknames like “Amazon woman” etc.

Depends on how short also probably proportional weight matters too.

I feel like being a short woman is a perk similar to being a blonde. Men love short women and seem very attracted to them.
