Does SNIGLETS work?

There is not a word that refers to one’s collective sons and daughters. “Offspring” is close. “Children” is not a good one because it implies youth and then you have to add “adult” children to clarify (and that is an oxymoron).

There is a word for cousins, siblings and parents; none of which imply age or gender.

I wish there was a word to cover the collective group of sons and daughters.

“How many SNIGLETS do you have?”

Open to other suggestions.

Thanks!

Offspring. That is the word you are looking for and it was right there with you the whole time.

The word is children.

You can certainly clarify that they are adults or that they are grown. Though I am 43 and my mother still introduces me as "her baby" because I am the youngest.

This is dumb and that’s already a word for something.

Sniglets? I cannot roll my eyes enough.

They are still and will always be your children. Refer to them as such. No one is going to look at your 50-year-old self and think you are talking about toddlers.

I couldn't think of a worse word than sniglets.

Children is the word. Based on context you might assume something about the ages of those children but there’s no need to try an invent a ridiculous word

Hmmm…would DAWSONS be good?

Combining daughters and sons, sort of?

It sounds way too close to a racist term for black children.
