Congrats! I'm PP and FYI - just because all the people we know fit legacy/URM doesn't mean that others without legacy/URM don't get in. We just don't know of any personally.

+1. If you want to base your analysis on what some anonymous randos on the internet say, good luck to you and your kid in the admissions game. The only ones with good data on this are in the Wharton admissions office

100% of the kids I know who were admitted in the last 5 years were legacy/double legacy, with the exception of two, both of whom were faculty/staff.

Not all schools at Penn have similar acceptance rates tho

Seems Wharton admits are more rare from this area vs seas and college

Penn and Duke seem to have the same profiles for who they’re taking from DMV, smart and often hooked. If you’re unhooked it’s still worth a shot, but prepare to come in with strong awards and leadership
