This is true. You can google it. They decided to cut back because they've been so successful with rolling admissions. If a school doesn't have to offer merit to get the student body it wants, then it will stop

Due to a crush of applicants they are very stingy with the merit. Same thing happened at Auburn. Will be turning into a rich kids school.

I know of people in past years that didn’t hear in the fall at all but were admitted later. I think they had borderline applications. Is his application on the cusp?

Admitted 10/30 to Dietrich A&S. No word on merit. CollegeVine predicted a little over $10K. Anyone who applied A&S non-stem heard on merit since Halloween? If so, how recently?

In the portal will be a letter stating how much merit aid they will give your DC.

I have heard that Pitt's merit is much lower than it was a few years ago. I believe $5K sounds normal.

How much higher than average? This was a couple of years ago, but my kid with an ACT score at the 75th percentile and a GPA above that didn’t get any merit aid. Didn’t apply right off though.

I am curious - given rolling admissions, does the timing of your admission affect merit aid? Do they tend to give more if you apply early?
