There are a number of exercises designed to stretch the fascia and tendons around the ankle and heel. You can also wear a night splint to eliminate plantar flexion. You can probably find some videos on this. Good luck. It can be a difficult issue to treat.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and strongly recommend NOT going to a podiatrist. They will try to give you a shot to numb the pain and sell you orthotics. Not actually treat it.

Agree. I thought I need to see a dr before a physical therapist to get a diagnosis so asking who to go to.

I am 48yr old had ankle surgery as a kid. Now I have heel pain and looks like developing plantar fasciitis. Who should I see ortho specialist in foot or podiatrist.
