Are you looking for racial diversity or liberal politics?
Riderwood, as noted above, it a large place with some diversity. But my republican ILs lived there so there are some non-liberals there. Knollwood skews more conservative but educated. Ingleside has a lot of foreign service people and highly educated.
60's is early for a lot of these places unless they have health issues. The average age is probably closer to 75-80.

Mainly a neighborhood with these kind of resources. They arent read for assisted living yet.
It would be better to get them into a CCRC now if they can afford it. That way, when they do need some amount of care, they won't have to move again

Takoma Park is diverse, liberal and has a lot of active seniors out and about. The city rec dept and the county rec dept both organize senior trips.

Do a google search for retirement communities or 55+ communities in the area you desire. You may have to visit them to find out how diverse they are.

My dad is 70 and my mom is in her last 60s. They want to move to Maryland since that is where I will be located.
They would be moving from a very diverse neighborhood so I would like to find a similar place here with 65+ people so they can make friends.
My mom likes going to museums, gardens, the beach, and similar activities. So, the ideal place would have regular group trips and outings for seniors.
My dad likes traveling, politics, literature, and sports. So, I need to find a place with maybe a good book club and liberal politics.
I appreciate your advice.
