It's not a 48 hour ban on all comments. It's only a 48 hour ban on negative comments about a public figure who passed, to allow those who supported or admired the deceased to have their period of mourning. After 48 hours, those who did not support or admire the deceased can post their critical comments.

Gen Z doesn't know what a HUGE deal it was to have Reagan nominate a woman to the SC. She was the original trailblazer, the first to break that glass ceiling, and mostly a conscious moderate on the bench and a prudent jurist. All the SC gender attention usually goes to RBG but SDO paved the way for every woman after her. I always have deeply admired her.

+1 Following her retirement she spent a lot of time/clout working against judicial elections because she didn’t want decisions to be perceived as political and biased.

Rosalyn was not a government official though (a great woman however).

Jimmy is 99 and currently in hospice, he is at the end.
