Why dentists can charge so much more than medical doctors?

Paid $3000 for the root canal and $3600 for the crown, but without any insurance. With should be much less, I hope for you!

My dentist is OON. My crown cost $2,400 and only 500 was reimbursed by insurance.

$1700 out of pocket was my experience. That was with some work, but not a root canal.

$700 is way low. I don’t remember the exact number but I had them done for $2000 ish in NOVA a few years ago.

With insurance about $600-700 in DC.

With insurance, my copay for a crown is about $600. They charge about $900. My copay is 65% so adjust the math accordingly!

So no root canal, just a crown? Probably in the $700 range. Maybe your dentist can offer a discount if you pay 100% out of pocket instead of using your insurance.
