Subject: dog eating grass--OK?
My first dog eats two types of grass. One fleshy grass she eats whenever I give it to her. 🐶 Another type of grass is more fibrous that she picks on her own on an upset stomach, then throws up almost immediately.

My vet said the thing about dogs eating grass to help with upset stomachs is just a myth and there is zero scientific evidence to back that up.

My havanese does. My issue is I think she’s sniffing for her “spot” in the yard, but she’s snacking away. It’s also how I know the lawn needs to be cut.

My dog also eats grass when she feels nauseous and then usually throws up afterward.

Some dogs just snack on grass and some munch it only when they have an upset tummy. Sounds like you have a case where it's just recreational.

my dog only does it when she has an upset stomach, and then usually throws up shortly afterwards, not always but 90% of the time she will afterwards. Not sure if the grass makes her throw up or if it doesn't matter either way b/c her stomach is upset and she's trying to self medicate.

My Siberian husky likes to eat grass. (the kind of grass that grows along a walking path, not marijuana). Some websites say this helps calm his stomach, so it's a good thing. Others say stop him from doing it.
THoughts? He does have a nervous stomach, as some huskies do--about once every month or six weeks he'll get diarrhea for two days. Not related to whether or not he's eaten grass, though.
