One is getting cash and the other is getting something for their computer.

At this age, I’d ask what they want. Their list could be vague if you still want to shop and be creative with your gifts.

For instance, Nike dunks. I would want to get a color that THEY think they can wear with everything. Certain color combos are popular, and versatile.that may be what a kid wants or they may only want the style/color that is less common. Or may want the color that’s just “dropping” or hasn’t even come out yet..

I'd get them a few fun books. Even though your son reads mostly non-fiction, you should give him Project Hail Mary. My 18-year-old (and my husband) LOVED reading this book. For your daughter, what about High Fidelity or Lessons in Chemistry or The Secret Life of Sunflowers?

Got mine new ski clothes - jacket, pants, mid layer, socks. Replaces gear that has been worn from age 14.

An advent calendar of tea, pj pants (she gets a new pair each year) and her two favorite candies from Trader Joe's. She's said no thank you to so many things. This might be the first year she doesn't get eight gifts.

Both in college, both in twenties - boy and girl. We've had a lot going on this fall - bad bouts of mental and physical health - and I'm spent thinking of ideas. Both are outdoorsy - camp, hike, ski. Both like clothes and jewelry. Both read - he nonfiction, she "Daisy Jones and the Six" genre. Welcome any ideas - even if cash would like to pair with a small item.
