What if swimmer 5 beats swimmer 4 in the head-to-head individual event but neither of them gets a personal best that day? Chaos!
It is top seed time in swim so a head to head win means nothing. It is who has the best time in the books.
This means times are good because of touchpads, plungers and timers. Really makes you realize how arbitrary summer times can be in relation.

Our club is in Turkey Claus this weekend and the coach told us that the relay teams were picked/finalized the day of the meet. But then they also sent out a relay team list of the A and B swimmers for the teams. Will those teams change the day of the meet? Is this what all clubs do or just certain clubs?
