Go to a running store and do the whole fitting, at least once in your life.

I have long narrow feet and high arches and run in ASICS and Mizunos, 1 size up. They both are cut more narrowly in the heel and don’t slide around.

I agree go get a fitting but NB 1080s changes my life and fit that description.

Agree that you should go to a store, but when you do try the Brooks Ghost as mentioned by a PP or Brooks Launch. I find the Launch fits more narrow than the Ghost, but both are very supportive.

Brooks Ghost or Saucony Ride. Super basic trainers.

What do you recommend (brand & model) ? and why ?

Thanks !

Where do you live? You need to go to a running store and get properly fitted. I highly recommend Racquet and Jog in Rockville but that might not be convenient for you but trying to accomplish this on DCUM is a horrible approach if you actually want a meaningful result.

I love my Brooks Glycerine. It just feels good.

If you are a serious runner or plan to run more than a a few miles, you should go to a running store to get it measured. The way you stand is usually different than the way you run. They can help you measure those-not just the measurement of your feet.

I recommend going to a running store and asking their opinion as well as trying on some different shoes and trying them out in the store.

But I can tell you that NB are *terrible* for narrow, high-arched running shoes. I have had the best luck with Nike and especially with ASICS, but you definitely should get a professional opinion.

I don't think you can say X or Y brand is terrible for something. There's a huge variety of models for different uses and they all use different lasts. I have fairly narrow feet with high arches and use two models of NB, while I have found certain Asics models to be terrible.

I have a similar issue and I love my Brooks Adrenaline (got them after going to Fleet Feet for an assessment). Unfortunately they are $$$ (for me) but worth it.

+1 but that said Brooks has a questionnaire on their website that was surprisingly detailed and gave what turned out to be an accurate prediction for me after I went to fleet feet.

Agree with PP. Potomac running or Fleet Feet. It’s free and worth your time.
