Mine also don’t want stuff, consumables only, and no sweets or alcohol for health reasons. It’s pretty limiting! They both want to downsize soon.

This year l did gift boxes of Marriage Freres teas. One all decaf / herbal, one regular.

And books. Those are easy to pass once you’re done with them, so l don’t feel bad about gifting them to people who don’t want more stuff.

Mom is gone. In-laws rudely tell everyone they don’t want any more physical stuff and will return it if you give it to them. So I get them a restaurant gift card to a rotating list of 3 places near their house. Which they then forget to use. But whatever, I’m not wasting any more brain power on it and apparently neither is their son.

For my mom, last year I found an artist who had painted her childhood neighborhood and got her a framed print. This year I’m doing some genealogy research she was interested in and probably putting the results in a book. She was also outdoorsy until recently and always liked good (silk) long underwear.

Do you mean active as in outdoor active? You could get a walking/hiking/trekking poles for the active senior hiker. The ones that can extend and adjust for the height. HotHands Hand warmers. I think there may be updated electronic versions of that. New pair of hiking shoes/boots. America the Beautiful park pass for seniors, binoculars, powerbank battery for phone.
