I was just in the Honey Baked Ham Store an hour ago asking this very question. They said that, if I am going to serve it Christmas Eve, pick it up December 22.

I would do 1-2 days ahead. I also think you should ask them in addition to us, so that if you have any concerns, you can point out that you were following their instructions.

I always pick mine up Monday for Thanksgiving on Thursday, and it's delicious!

Their website says they’re good for 7-10 days, so I wouldn’t pick it up a week in advance. Maybe call the store and see if you can pick up a frozen one to thaw yourself if you need to pick it up that far in advance.
