Check countysportszone.com for an idea of how good the girls, boys, and coed teams are in your (future) highschool. Teams in the top of the county rankings are likely to be much more difficult to play on and have tryout cuts. Many high schools decide each spring based on tryouts if they will prioritize boys or coed success based on available male players..

You can signup for rec clinics during January and February. Go to the Active Montgomery website and search for volleyball in the activity search box.

This isn’t the case at all schools. At our HS boys is more competitive and the co-ed team is for the less-experienced boys.

Not OP but am curious as my daughter is considering the sport for the Fall. Any helpful clinics to go to if you have not played club?

My DD played both girls in the fall and spring co-ed. The co-ed team was harder to make as there was some very talented boys trying out, so some of the variety girls players didn’t make the cut. The all boys team in the spring is unpopular and not hard to make from what I understand.

Aside from the obvious, what is the difference between fall girl's volleyball and spring co-ed volleyball. Is one more competitive than the other? Do fall players generally try out for spring?
