Some things I’m thinking of:
Scalloped potatoes
Burgundy mushrooms (or maybe stuffed mushrooms as an app instead)
Corn casserole
Roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta and balsamic glaze
Simply prepared asparagus, one of the few vegetables my dad will eat
For an appetizer, one of those Instagram recipes making a wreath out of crescent rolls, Brie, and cranberry

I’ll probably end up with a Honeybaked ham to check the protein box, but I mostly get excited about side dishes and appetizers.

Pick it up early; I had to drive through the parking lot four times last Weds when picking up my Chipotle lunch as the Honeybaked Ham store in the same strip mall was a mob scene.
