I’ll have one word in my head but a different one comes out of my mouth. It happens all the time now and it freaks me out. I’m 58.

I’ve always had that, like my mother. We both have inattentive ADHD. We’re also bilingual and it’s funny that I’ll have the right word, but not in the right language! Happens all the time 😄

Yes. I'm certain it's a side effect of COVID or the vaccine. (I had both so not sure which.)

when is a context when it's typically used? Universally? Mostly in business? Mostly in academic/theoretically? And are you pretty sure it's a word not a phrase? Is there any phrase that you associate with it? What's the closest you get to when you are trying to come up with it?

Try not to get cancer. It’s 10,000 worse for me after chemo! Then add menopause in the mix. I’m surprised I can remember my own name!

That makes me feel a little better. Maybe I’m just self conscious about it.

All the freakin' time. So much fun. I've gotten better are grabbing a similar word or flat out describing it lol. It's not as baby as pregnancy brain, but I'm guessing it's perimenopause...

I’m actually a very good writer (which is a large part of my job) but I write with a thesaurus at my fingertips.

Yes, I do. And yes it is getting worse…because I am getting older. Happens to most of us at some point. I’m 50. It also is much, much worse when I am stressed. The more stress the harder it is to find a word. Generally they are nouns, which I understand is a normal part of aging and not an indicator of memory loss.

Do any of you experience this? I have for a while but I think it’s getting worse.
