Agree to some extent that rankings are a waste of time. However, if you are on a top 5-10 team, I think that puts you in a different category in so far as you will be playing in the top tournaments routinely which puts you in front of more recruiters than if you were on a 20-50 team. Not saying there are not standouts on those teams.
