Unfortunately, the $799.00 39” workstation sink is a major expensive disappointment. After our kitchen remodel was completed and the sink was installed in July, 2023 the water spots were a continuous battle and impossible to remove. They’re getting worse. I question if their stainless steel sink is actually 16 gauge. It scratches very easily and it stains. Pin size rust spots are starting to form in the corners. I use a cotton QTip to make sure to dry out the water from each corner. I also purchased a Ruvati bar sink that was installed at the same time, has held up only a little better than our kitchen sink. But, not great! I I regret investing the money into these two sinks. BTW, If you see a notation “hurry and order, only 8 left in stock”, . Or, whatever. Ignore! Continue to research this product before you end up in the same position as I am DISAPPOINTED!!!!
I’m not defending the brand, but all stainless steel sinks will scratch. The first one or two look terrible, but then the scratches accumulate until you get sort of a patina from all the scratches. If you look at a stainless steel counter or your stainless mixing bowl, you will see endless scratches. The things we put into the sink are often as hard or harder than stainless steel, thus the scratches.
As for the rust, technically stainless steel can rust, but usually rust spots in the sink are from a different source- metal utensils or pans that oxidize with water.

You can try to passivate the stainless steel by letting it sit in a paste of barkeeper’s friend for 15 minutes and then rinsing out to prevent rust spots.
