Imo centers are too much for young kids. Young kids needs to play, socialize. Centers don't give much individual attention.
Prek k should start at 3 or 4. Play and some academics. Soon they will be in kindergarten with 25 kids to 1 teacher. Crazy

Pre k is not a requirement for kindergarten.
Find a small family child care home(family daycare) and check reviews. Even big centers are so crowded and has faults in thier inspections reports. Always check the reports online
You will be surprised these big schools, prek centers with fancy names has bad inspections reports

This is a marriage/co-parenting issue, not really a childcare issue.

That's crazy. I'd find a daycare that adheres to a smaller ratio. You may have to pay more for it but 9 toddlers to one adult is bananas.

Just moved out of state. Daycare ratio is 18 kids to 2 teachers. I personally find this uncomfortable as our center in the dmv had 8 kids 2 teachers. Just thinking about winter viruses etc. DD is 2.5
