Are you saying you only wish people happy holidays the day before even if you know you’ll not see them the rest of the week?

I'm a therapist with mostly weekly clients. I mentioned holidays to Thursday/Friday clients a couple weeks ago and last week said "Have a good holiday!" to the people I won't see this week. This week, aka today, I have said "Have a good holiday!" to everyone I've met with, mostly in response to them saying it first.

I would not say it on a Monday to someone I was also seeing Tuesday and Wednesday, though. I agree that it's more of a signing off for the weekend thing.

I was out of town for Halloween so can’t speak to that but I got tons of happy Thanksgivings over the weekend.

I feel like people are not in the mood for the holidays right now. Anecdotal observation: I had to call 8 somewhat random people today as we have a business deal closing right after thanksgiving and not one said anything about thanksgiving. I felt like this was odd and when I wished them a good thanksgiving they would reply with an “oh yeah. You too”. My DH said he noticed the same thing. Halloween was also quiet and it seemed like nobody cared but I chalked it up to it falling on a weekday.
