We have a yoto for the 2nd grader. She has access to podcasts snd music and i can make it into a blue tooth speaker for online radio etc and also make cards with books/music she wants. Im anti Alexa or other smart listening devises in our house.

You can buy mp3 players for not that much ($40 if memory serves) that also can access radio. My kid did a boombox for radio or CDs for a while, now more often mp3 player. Sometimes asks to do spotify. We still do a lot of CDs ourselves and ipod in car.

Alexa or on iPad.

We had an Mp3 and alexa.

Alexa in the playroom. He occasionally takes my phone to stream and also has an old dial radio. But 90% alexa.

We have a record player that we use and bought some of her favorite albums on vinyl. Otherwise we play stuff in the car or on our phones

Alexas in their rooms (and all over the house).

Old fashioned radio and CD player combo. The kids save up to buy CDs like we did in the olden days. But none of us are much for streaming music. I have a huge CD and iPod collection that I’m faithful to.

My 4th grader has an Alexa dot in her room. That’s it.

He has an Alexa in his room.

My second grader wants to be able to listen to music of her choice on headphones. My first thought was an iPod but since they are no longer a thing how do we do this? Do we give her an old iPhone and use iTunes or pandora or whatever on Wi-Fi? What is your solution for this?
