Don't give any gift. Most kids will not be gifting anything.

Just give what you think is right or just wait until the end of the year when you have gotten to know them better.

We give $50 to the main teacher, $25 to the specials teachers.

You can do it however you want, I highly doubt they compare. I give the same amount to all the teachers and write a nice note to the principal about any that have been especially great.

I give a $25 gift card with a thank you note highlighting something that my kid has mentioned that she enjoyed.

MCPS room parent here: there is a $20 limit for an individual gift from a family to a teacher. But, there is no limit for a group class gift to a teacher. At our elementary, the PTA gives each classroom another staff member (eg a custodian, a specials teacher, a front office person) in addition to the teacher to provide a group gift.

Yes, $20 gift card for classroom teacher, $5-10 for bus driver, other key staff including administrators.

What’s typical for teacher gifts? At previous school room parent coordinated a gift card from all families. Guessing not the case for MCPS. What’s the typical range of gifts? Gift card or something tangible?
