In MCPS high schools, only Blair has a block schedule every day, although a few other high schools have blocks twice a week to allow for longer classes/labs. And only Blair and Poolesville have the option for 8 classes. So I'm presuming the PP's child is at Blair.

To get back to the original question -- my child took online health last spring, along with 7 regular classes. As a PP said, it was 1.5 hours by Zoom each week and a lot of assignments in between. It was manageable, but did require planning and time management to stay on top of.

Block meaning even and odd days, not classes that are only one semester long

Blair - probably others too.

Don’t they all? Middle schools do it too.

Block schedules? Which MS has a block schedule?

Did your DC take it in addition to seven classes?

DC actually took it in addition to 8 other classes (at school with block schedule). But no sports or super intense ECs…

Has anyone’s child taken health online during the school year? Curious if it’s similar to the format of summer online health where there are zoom lectures with lots of assignments in between or if it’s more like an interactive class where students are expected to participate. Thanks.
