Tips are always optional. The restaurant should up their pricing, and be transparent about what they are charging people for, instead of these silly games of junk fees.

I’m confused. 20% service charge. How much do you tip on top of that? If it’s another 20%, we’ll need to cancel. I’m all in favor of an international norm with the service charge and then add 5-10% more for excellent service. Would that be appropriate?
