Is the Jordan-Israel border even open for passage to tourists right now?

I would travel to petra separately. I'd wait on Isreal.

I would not this year. I've already had 2 sets of friends cancel their spring plans, which at this point is the right choice.

No not in 2024. I do not want to subject my kids to air raids and running to bomb shelters. The country will be on full war footing for the next year, minimum.

But we've talked about doing spring break week in Israel once our kids are a bit older. Great weather that time of year, very family friendly. Will probably reassess in a couple years.

Only if I had family there and they were telling me it was safe to come. If I was just touring, I would skip.
